Advanced Pilot Training: Instrument Flying Training This part of the "Flight School" is about flight instruments, blind flying technique and Radio Navigation. It applies to fighter and bomber, and any other multiengine aircraft types. It may seem a little out of place to discuss and present these issues on the web-site of a combat simulator squadron. However, there are uses for bad wheather or night flying. What is more: Flying on instruments requires and teaches profciency in precicion maneuvering. And knowing exactly how to perform these maneuvers certainly gives an edge in any flight situation - including a combat situation.
Part one: Flight Instruments Primer A short introduction on the basic flight instruments as used in allied aircraft. Part of Basic Training Part two: Instrument Flying Overview A very short introduction to "Instrument Flaying", its value and the training methods. Part three: Instrument Flying Training A rather in depth traing course on the issues pertaining Instrument Flying using TM 1-445 - Instrument Flying Training, 1942
