Air Fronts: Military Maps and Aerial Photography

Maps and aerial photos are premier sources of information for pilots, bombardiers, navigators and photointerpreters. Whether it is plain old navigation, target idetification or after action mission result assessment.

But of course, maps and recon information are the base for all military operations of all military services and all their echelons. And in many cases the procurement or production of relieable maps in usefull scales was quite a problem in itself.

This part of Air Fronts is supposed to give a general overview of the training and the techniques required to make successful use of the information in practical terms of orientation and of obtaining and evaluating the information produced by any sort of "recce".
